In the immediate aftermath of President Bush's re-election, the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMF) conducted a survey of American, German, and French public opinion. The survey looks at how the presidential election impacted American and European attitudes toward each other and their leaders, perceptions of international organizations such as the UN and NATO, and possible areas of U.S.--European collaboration on issues like Israel--Palestine, Iran, and Iraq. Finally, it asks what leaders on both sides of the Atlantic should do to improve the transatlantic relationship.
